Assistant Manager

Description:

The Assistant Manager is the entry-level operations management position at Weigel's. Trainees are provided a comprehensive training program, which includes both classroom and in-store training with a Certified Training Manager. Assistant Managers work a rotating schedule. An Assistant Manager would typically work the opening shift one week, and then the closing shift the following week.

*Store Managers are always promoted from within.

 

Compensation:

Assistant Managers are paid weekly under a pay plan that includes a weekly draw and commission. Commission is paid every four weeks and is based on the inside sales of his or her store. Because sales vary, so do commissions. Assistant Managers typically earn an annual income in the high twenties.
 
Store Managers and Assistant Managers all work similar job schedules in every store. The schedules are designed so the Store Managers and Assistant Managers work the shifts that typically have the most sales volume.  The standard job shift schedules are as follows: Mornings 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Evenings 2:30 p.m. to midnight. We currently have 2 stores that are open 24 hours and have varying shifts.  
 

Relief Manager

Description:

The Relief Manager is in charge of a Weigel's store when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is not working. Ten days of training with a Certified Training manager are provided before the first job assignment. Schedules are typically four days per week, in varying shifts, for a total of 37 hours per week. (Schedules may be adjusted slightly to meet customer needs).
 

Compensation:

Starting pay for a Relief Manager is up to $7.50 per hour.
 
 

 

Cashier

Description:

The full-time Cashier supports the operation of higher volume Weigel's stores. Schedules vary by store, but 40 hours are scheduled each week. Part-time Cashier positions are available as well.
 

Compensation:

Starting pay for a Cashier varies depending upon prior experience.
