Application Process for all Positions

Weigel's employees have made the company what it is today, so we are very selective in our hiring practices. Every step taken is designed to make sure there is a good "fit" between Weigel's and the potential new team member.
 

STEP 1 Assistant Managers and Relief Managers are full-time positions. Possible candidates should complete the online application or visit the corporate office. Part-time cashiers and stock personnel should apply at the store at which the candidate would like to work. Full-time cashiers may apply either at the corporate office or a specific store.


STEP 2
Your application will then be carefully reviewed. If you meet Weigel's high standards, then you move on to step 3.

STEP 3 A phone screening is scheduled with the Recruiting Manager for Assistant and Relief Managers or the Store Manager for Cashiers and Stock. The phone screening helps determine if you are right for Weigel's and if we are right for you. If the answer is "yes", then you advance to the next step.
 
STEP 4 An interview will be scheduled. After all candidates have been interviewed, there will be a verification of employment history, online assessment test, reference checks, and a criminal background check. If these prove satisfactory, and you are the best qualified for the position, you will proceed to the last step.
 
STEP 5 The Recruiting Manager or Store Manager will extend a job offer. Before accepting, you are encouraged to talk with the store team members to get a feel for what the job is like.

This may seem like a long process, but at Weigel's, we want only happy, hard-working employees who will be with us for a long time. We believe it's much better for us to get to know each other before the employment decision is made.
