KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — August 28, 2026 — This football season, Weigel’s is giving local communities a new way to show their school spirit, support local athletic programs and enjoy a little Friday-night fun with Weigel’s Football Friday
On Friday, August 21, Weigel’s launched “Weigel’s Football Friday,” a new weekly voting game available through the Weigel’s app. Each Friday, customers can open the app and vote for participating local schools in geographic areas where Weigel’s stores are proud to be part of the community.
At the end of each weekly voting period, the school receiving the most votes will receive a $500 donation to its athletic program, helping support the students, coaches and programs that bring local communities together.
And because Friday nights are about more than football, Weigel’s is adding another way for customers to celebrate.
Friday Night Pizza for the Community
On each Weigel’s Football Friday, participating Weigel’s stores located within the geographic areas represented in that week’s school voting will offer a special $8 whole-pizza promotion.
The spot promotion gives customers another reason to stop by their local Weigel’s on Friday while celebrating the schools and communities around them.
So whether customers are heading to the stadium, gathering with friends and family to watch the game or simply looking for an easy Friday-night meal, Weigel’s Football Friday brings together school spirit, community support and a great pizza deal.
Vote for Your School. Win Pizza for a Year.
The fun doesn’t stop with the school donation.
Each week, one participating voter will also have the chance to be selected as the lucky winner of free pizza slices for a year from Weigel’s.
